First as a few of you were there.. we shot Nathan doing his ninja thing while waiting for visual culture to start at the NGA.. and to be honest I can't pick between 4 images of the same flip.. I like them all!.. they are
Then there was one more image I liked from the same "shoot"..

So thanks Nath for playing ninja.. We'll have to do it again next week.. but next time we will explore more!
Annyway.. later that day I was asked to go out and shoot a friend of my brothers' at Lake George, hang-gliding.. My bro and I went out and after we arrived they were setting up so I ran arround shooting some "typical australian" landscapes, of which two stood out.. of the same subject, just in different orientations.. I prefer the portrait composition (the way the two primary subjects are dead on the intersection of the third lines, and the lack of distractions to the left and right).. but I much prefer landscapes to be.. well.. landscape..

Then, after take off, I shot them for a while using a long lense then we (my brother and I) drove down to where they told us they would land, and I shot them landing. Funnily enough, in the half an hour they were in the air, my favourite shots were made in the last minute before landing..

I have plenty of close ups and wide shots, but these two stood out to me.. the first cause it had the two of them in frame.. and the second because of the angle and the way the scene is lit..Finally I fired off a shot of my brother as a record and a note to myself.. Lake George is going to make one hell of a location to shoot in the future.. especially if it gets foggy!!

See you all at school..
Jez
